THACHER HOUSE
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Colonel John Thacher House was built in 1680 with myriad additions and modifications made over the centuries. Design Associates partnered with the building owner, Historic New England, Inc, to provide a feasibility study for accessibility and expanded public use while retaining the character-defining features of this important historic house. Design Associates provided universal access planning, site design, new entry design, code review, zoning, and site plan review for this project.
